SANDER WHEELS
Athena Abrasives produces flap wheels suitable for working on any type of surface, whether flat, concave, or convex, in any material. Athena Abrasives' non-woven abrasive flap wheels have found many practical and economical applications in surface finishing. The radial arrangement of their non-woven flaps, made of aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, or other types of abrasive, allows them to perfectly adapt to the contours of the entire workpiece.
Sander Wheels (STX)
Satin finishing wheels are made of non-woven abrasive fabric flaps and are used on portable manual satin finishing machines. They are suitable for decorative satin finishing of various types of metals, such as alloy steel, aluminum, copper, brass, etc. They provide a uniform, defect-free finish and can be used to process small or large surfaces. Satin finishing wheels are also used for removing oxide layers, processing hard plastics, and machining wooden parts.
CP-3M Sander Wheels (STX CP-3M)
CP-3M wheels, which are more wear-resistant, are used to achieve a consistent finish. They are particularly effective at removing imperfections such as scratches and burrs and providing a uniform finish to the workpiece.
Interleaved Sander Wheels (STXT)
Unlike non-woven satin wheels (STX), these wheels consist of abrasive cloth flaps alternating with non-woven abrasive flaps. Particularly suitable for satinizing and dulling metals, they are also used for working hard plastics and wooden parts.
NON-WOVEN FABRIC WAVED SANDER WHEELS (STXW)
The particular sinusoidal arrangement of the fabric allows the satin finishing of even very large surfaces, hiding the marks of the passes.
WAVED SANDER WHEELS WITH IMPREGNATED NON-WOVEN FABRIC (STXW)
These wheels, made of impregnated non-woven fabric, allow for less aggressive satin finishing and wear more gradually and evenly. They are particularly suitable for working on aluminum surfaces.
